Glycolic Peels.

Glycolic acid is a type of Alpha Hydroxy Acid derived from sugar cane. Due to its smaller molecular size, glycolic acid is more effective than other Alpha Hydroxy Acids and  improves the look and feel of the skin, reducing the appearance of post acne scaring, fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.

Glycolic acid works in a number of ways, primarily through its exfoliation properties. On application the glycolic acid penetrates the upper layer of the epidermis, weakening the binding properties of the lipids that hold dead skin cells together.  This action allows the layer of dead skin cells to dissolve revealing the underlying brighter younger looking skin.

Glycolic acid is particularly effective for skin rejuvenation because of the following unique properties

  • Exfoliates by thoroughly removing the uneven, rough layer of dead skin cells, resulting in a lighter brighter skin more refined texture with reduced black heads and open pores
  • Penetrates through the upper layer of skin to begin exfoliation from the bottom up, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Plumping the skin as it increases moisture retention by binding with water and pulling it into the deeper layers, improving skin hydration and overall skin health
  • Reduces the amount of surface skin oil, which aids the removal of blackheads, break outs and other skin impurities and can help stimulate collagen production

Our Peels contain 40% Glycolic Acid.

Glycolic Peel Treatment £50

Glycolic Peel Procedure

The skin is thoroughly cleansed and toned to remove any surface dirt, oil or impurities in preparation for the peel

The ‘Glycolic Epi-Peel’ is then applied with cotton wool for a set time dependant on skin type.(A mild tingling sensation will be present)

Once removed either a deep cleansing ‘cooling clay mint mask’ (oily/problem prone skin) or a nourishing soothing ‘hydrating mask’ (dry/ sensitive/ageing skin) will be applied

‘Profoundly effective ‘Vitamin A’ delivery system is then applied which dramatically reduces fine lines and wrinkles, enhances skin elasticity, evens skin tone and promotes cell renewal

A healing ‘Post Peel Quick Recovery Cream’ is then massaged into the face and neck

An SPF 30 is then pressed in to protect the skin

Bare Mineral make up can also be applied (optional)
